I will be in London between 9am and 9pm, and I would like to get out of the airport. I've been there a couple times before to see the major sites (Tower of London, London Eye, Big Ben), but about 6 and 8 years ago. From other posts, it seems I should allot 5 or so hours for travel to/from the airport (Heathrow) and to be on time for my connection. So what sites do you think I should try and tackle (preferably not too expensive) within my remaining 7 hours?
Thank you!

If it's a sunday go for a stroll in Brick lane.
Or if any other day go and see Yayoi Kusama exhibition at the Tate Modern and have a walk along southbank, I'd go to the design museum too. over 6 years ago

Kew Gardens is a wonderful place to spend some time and has a nice cafe too. You could then head into Richmond for a spot of shopping or sit by the river and have a drink. Kingston is great for shopping and you could then get the train or bus (111) back to Heathrow and runs 24/7. over 6 years ago
