    By central London, i assuming you mean the West End where many travelers head to enjoy the entertainment and shopping areas of London. The Punch and Judy is right on Covent Garden overlooking the church plaza and where you can watch the street performers below. More of a locals' place is the Lamb Flag nearby, in a nook off a Coventry Garden side street. I used to go to the Lemon Tree after work.

    The lettuce and slug...great food...n discounts too... I know of two...one just off leiscester sq n one just off regent str i believe over 6 years ago

    Sorry but the Slug and Lettuce chain is not a great demonstration of the wonderfully crafted beers, wines and ciders that the UK has to offer! Heavens to betsy but you will be suggesting Yates's Wine Lodges next!

    Not trying to be a snob, but pubs in London (and the UK) are part of our history, and the older, darker, more original the pub, then the better the beer. Take a moment to find some of the good ones - check out the CAMRA website - and you will be rewarded with a pub that has good beer. over 6 years ago
