What about taking day trips out of London to other places in the UK? Go to the beach at Brighton or visit Oxford or Cambridge, the university towns. You can take a day trip to Paris, but the train is farily expensive and once you get there you'll wish you had more than one day! Honestly, you could fill a month in London alone, but there's a heap of other amazing places in the UK too. about 6 years ago

Definitely a day or two in Paris is not enough and the long trip burns up your time - I agree, spend a few days in London and see more of England. Take the double decker bus tour of London - its worth it! about 6 years ago

Agree with Pat, berak up your London trip to spend a day or two in Paris.

London is fantastic - you coul spend years there and not discover everything, however as a first timer I would suggest you use it as your base. That way you have a great excuse to return as well.

Getting to Paris from London is easy, train, drive or fly! If you only go for a day or two - do NOT choose a cheap budget airline. They will cancel on you, or delay. Pay the extra for a gauranteed flight, or better still, catch the train! about 6 years ago

I would agree with Zaphod that if it's your first time in Euopre, you should go for the day trip. I would definitely do it if you're not planning on visiting that part of the world again any time soon. It's true that one or two days in Paris is not enough, but I'm such a huge fan of the city (lived there for half a year) that I would not pass it up! about 6 years ago
