Not knowing what your country of citizenship is, US citizens with a valid passport for at least 6 months no longer need a visa: http://www.uae-embassy.org/travel-culture/visas-passports.

If you are just in transit for a few hours and have an ongoing airline ticket, many places don't require a visa, but always check with that country's embassy website, many of which have the information for all countries of citizenship. about 9 years ago

If you are going to stay in the airport, then you will not need a visa - you will be allowed to remain airside.

If you wish to leave the airport then as a Brazillian passport holder you will require a visa which must be issued before you travel. I know that Emirates airlines were offering to help people who were travelling with them, or you could find a travel agent, or someone to sponsor you.

A hotel can assist with a visit visa, but you would need to be staying with the hotel and there is a cost involved.
