    Yes u can travel with rent car but when u enter to oman u have fill some papers and pay insurance for car I think it's around 80 to 120 AED I travel their with friend car from al Ain to Muscat it take around 4 hours and they give u visa stamp on u passport for 1 month and better using oman currency better than dirhams almost 9 years ago

    If you are renting a car, you need to get a paper from the rental agency. Most of them will have insurance which covers Dubai and Oman as well. So you may not need the additional Oman cover. over 8 years ago

    You can rent a car - just make sure you tell the car rental company. Sometimes the process at the boarder crossing can take a while.

    Alternatively, you could fly to Muscat from Dubai. over 8 years ago

    Thank you all for your comments. We travelled from Dubai to Oman and rented a car in Ruwi. What a wonderfull country Oman is and the people are truly fantastic over 8 years ago
