Is anyone travelling from the UK to Uganda? Help the registered NGO, Mwenya Uganda for FREE! http://stuffyourrucksack.com/charity.php?id=362
Mwenya Uganda runs mobile, medical and dental clinics to rural communities of Uganda that do not otherwise have access to healthcare (Mwenya means 'smile'). We strongly believe in saving all our financial donations to help the most vulnerable, instead of paying international courier companies to transport equipment from the UK to Uganda for us. Therefore, we are always searching for lovely, trustworthy people who are travelling from the UK to Uganda, who want to make a difference. This is totally free for you, very simple, you can be as involved as you like.
All we're asking you to do is to collect some equipment in the UK - we can arrange to have it sent to your house....take it with you on the plane, and give it to one of our Ugandan volunteers who will be waiting for you wherever is most convenient.
You will be able to see exactly what you're taking.
You can be as involved with Mwenya Uganda as you like - you can just leave the equipment at your hotel reception desk for a Mwenya volunteer to pick up, or you can arrange to meet the team, visit our office and meet our beneficiaries.
Together, we'll choose items that fit the space available in your rucksack! If it's a laptop or a box of toothpaste...anything you can take will be a HUGE help.
For more information, please see our website http://www.mwenya-uganda.org/index.php and email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you very much, hope to hear from you soon.
Happy travels nomads!
love the Mwenya team.
