Is October a good time to visit Istanbul?

Weatherwise, it's a nice time to visit, still mostly sunny and warm though the nights are cooler. October 29th is a national holiday, and you'll be sure to see some amazing fireworks displays. Most of the summer crowds will have moved on by then, as well, though the main sites in Istanbul are almost always busy. Enjoy it, Istanbul is wonderful! over 9 years ago

Agree with Jules - but if you are there around the national holiday, then ensure you have some accommodation pre-booked and if you want to travel, then bear in mind that the whole of Turkey will be on the move at the same time! over 9 years ago
