Turkey Visa for Canadians

over 8 years ago about Turkey

I have read that Canadians can purchase a visa on arrival. However, I have also read that it is preferable to obtain a visa in advance. Does anyone have recent experience, difficulties? Thanks.

    Hi Shelly,

Further to your question, Canadians can obtain visa stickers at the border gates upon arriving to Turkey.

According to the information given at the web site of Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ministry "Canada: Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. Ordinary passport holders can obtain three-month multiple entry visas at the Turkish border gates." Again, according to the info given at MFA's web site the cost of visa for ordinary passport holders, at present is USD 60 or EUR 45 per visa valid for 3 months.

We are a tour operator based in Istanbul, Turkey, founded in 1977 and none of our Canadian clients faced any difficulties.

Above are for your info and records. Wish you a great day and a safe trip.
