Looking at planning a trip to Trinidad & Tobago.
Not sure about the location. Haven't heard much on this as a destination.

Projim, T&T has a significant crime problem and you'll need to be very cautious while you're there. Armed robbery of tourists is common and there are plenty of dangerous parts of Port of Spain especially after dark.
Visitors have been robbed and assaulted on the roads between the airport and their accommodation (you may be followed from the airport).
There've been some vicious assaults in villas on Tobago island, make sure you pick one which has good security and 24 hour guards.
Check out your country's travel advice for T&T, they paint a bad picture of high crime, sorry to say. about 9 years ago

HI guys . . . honestly Trinidad and Tobago is no where as bad as you're making it sound. It's unfortunate you feel that way, have you ever been here?

I have lived all of my 40+ years here and can say that it's a great destination for anyone looking for a wonderful experience no matter you're preferences! That's cause there is a bit of something for everyone! Business travellers, backpackers looking for adventure, scientist looking for a great research topic, the people who come alive at night and so much more varieties. We have a very diverse cultural background with a rich history and numerous sightseeing landmarks.

What about the greatest show on the earth? CARNIVAL ! :):)

You'll always get a bit of crime here and there, after all we live in a world where some persons have lost there sense of concious but anyone considering visiting Sweet TnT should definitely seize the opportunity! almost 8 years ago

Everyone warned me before my trip that it was dangerous and I needed to be safe. Not once in Trnidad or Tobago did I feel unsafe. The people were beyond nice!
