Hello Simon, you can also check with Phuket Adventures [www.phuket-adventures.com] that offer similar tours in the Phang Nga Bay. The price from these companies seems a bit high because they have proper insurance but also because of the quality of the service.

There are many tour companies offering similar day trips, simply ask your hotel reception or go to a local travel agent to organize the trip for you, 1 day advance booking is required. Most companies offer inclusive in the package transportation to and back from your hotel to the boat.

We hope you will enjoy your holidays in Phuket, and please visit our website www.phuket-holiday.com for more information and travel tips.

You have to realize that John Gray’s Sea Canoe is an International Company and will provide a professional experience with safety as a primary concern and full insurance as someone else pointed out. The phuket trip is around 150$US which is expensive for a Thai daytrip but if you can afford it you will not regret it. There are local companies providing a similar experience for much less.
