There are a number of restaurants and hotels offering cooking classes (ie Blue Elephant - quite high end restaurant in beautiful setting - http://www.blueelephant.com/bangkok/) however if you are looking for something truly authentic and local and moreover which will give you a chance to interact with the local community of Klong Toey then consider signing up for Poo's cooking class (http://www.cookingwithpoo.com/). She is a Thai woman entrepreneur who has partnered with an organization called Helping Hands to support the community of Klong Toey. You will visit and shop in the market and then return to the kitchen to cook a lunch of 3 dishes. about 9 years ago
