prepare her for the worst and tell her about the fried insects, worms, etc.

it's not so bad actually, i have not really seen any "weird" food - however i didn't feel that adventurous. the usual asian stuff with curry and rice of course, chicken, seafood but you can also get lot's of vegetarian food, fruits or a pizza if you want. over 8 years ago

Thai food is some of the best in the world. I'd strongly suggest you find the very best night markets in the city as they often have the best food, and start with something difficult not to enjoy - like deep fried banana fritters. over 8 years ago

Hi moses, the food in thailand are varies. Which part of thailand are u living at? If you stay in bangkok, no worries at all. There are a lot of western food like pizza, fried chicken and burgers mostly located at the malls. The traditional food of thailand is one of the best. They mostly made of seafood and chicken, and for some people it is very tasty and hot. But dont worry because they also have standard cook such as grilled chicken,or seafood soup. You should try the fruits! All are sweets and very yummy :) wish u and ur family enjoy your stay.. over 8 years ago

Start trying Thai food in your hometown, or cook some at home... Simple dishes like chicken satay, pad thai and work your way up to some of the more chilli intense dishes. But in Thailand there are plenty of mild dishes which a fussy western eater would find palatable. over 8 years ago
