Try to wait a bit and do it in town. There is a place on Sukumvit, maybe around soi 4, that gives the best rates. If you have to change some at the airport just walk around and look for the best rate. Other Bangkok folks, please give exact address of the money changer on Sukumvit if you know it. about 7 years ago

It is easy to use the bank machines at the airport - they can give you Thai money. Also safer than carrying a lot of other currency around. Keep in mind you are often charged a departure tax out of BKK even if you're "in transit". Everyone just uses the bank machine. about 7 years ago

The airport is not the best place to have money changed But booths abound in the building where you can choose which rates are best for your currency. Unless you are connecting to another flight, i guess you don't really have any choice. about 7 years ago

All money changers at the Airport run by Banks and the rates of exchange are exactly the same. You will be safe there. However, if you prefer better rates, the shops named "Super Rich" in Watergate area (phone no. 026552489) or "Verasu" on Sukhumvit Road (phone 023756285) are recommended. There are no commissions charge at any exchange counter. about 7 years ago
