Anywhere in Bangkok, if that is where you are. In the city, they operate much the same as taxi's. Just wave one down and tell him your destination! almost 8 years ago

Ride tuktuk with friends, find a suitable "something" to cling on to. Tuktuk rides are not so good during the afternoons because it's too hot and you'll more likely be sitting in the Tuktuk stuck in traffic. Best times are later in the evening. Best places to take the ride is Chinatown!! over 7 years ago

God, virtually anywhere. But realize they are tourist ripoff vehicles. Make sure you know exactly what the fare will be beforehand, and recognize that he will LIKELY y to change your trip to include a shop where he gets a fee for bringing you. Taxis are actually cheaper and have meters. So tuktuk is just for fun show. So just watch yourself as I describe. over 7 years ago

Eric. S. is right , metered taxis ( you can recognize them by pink color) are cheaper , but tuktuk is funny experience and can be faster in traffic jam if you manage to run into crazy-enough driver :-). Be warned that if ride costs very little as 20baht they will probably take you to shops where they get commission when you buy something. over 7 years ago
