Beaches in Thailand in September

about 3 years ago about Thailand

Hey Guys,

I am going to Thailand next week.
The plan is to go to Bangkok and surounding area, Chang Mai and then head south to hit the beach.
Any suggestions on some nice islands that are worth it to go to in September? We would like to somewhere, where it´s not too touristy and where we can enjoy some sunshine.
It will be in the end of September, shouldn´t be too rainy on the Gulf side, right?

Thanks in advance

    Hi Natalja,

Not an island, but Tonsai on the south coast of Thailand (30 mins boat from Krabi) is a cool little bay without all the tourists you'd find on Koh Phi Phi. The land area (small jungle paths) is about 2 km sq but you can also walk from there to Railey beach (more popular). It's got a laid-back, rasta vibe to it.

It's also known as a good rock-climbing spot!

    Hope that helps,

just came back from bangkok and koh phanang island (need fast ferry from koh samui - 30 minutes ride - nice calm relax), on gulf side (koh samui larger island w/ airport) good weather on island, no rain, in nice season now. Phanang island is known for some parties but happens on full moon date. check www.phananginfo.com or spell check. rent scooter and recommend to stay at bottle beach - clear water, nice sand, if you want relax quiet can only get their by water taxi at nearby beach bay area. 15 minutes water taxi ride 150 ` 200 baht. always humid, can not escape, except on beach. northern beaches of island are the best. a day trip to northern area beaches is good, scooter ride about 30~40 minutes from main town, road good quality. about 3 years ago
