What are the major rules regarding customs declaration in Thailand?
I am going to have a trip to Thailand and even though I read many sites that provided me with information about this topic I still don't understand some things. For example, do I have to declare my phone? And what should I do with my makeup? (I read that that it is restricted in some way but I didn't understand).

Hey Anna,
When I went a few years ago I didn't have to declare anything special, just the usual cash, alcohol and tobacco amounts, but almost every country has those. over 2 years ago -
My most recent trip was in January, and I travel over yearly.
I didn't have to declare anything at all.
The major rules that might apply to us, are strict around duty free items with a combined value of over US$1000.
Otherwise, there isn't anything you have to declare. over 2 years ago -
nothing to declare for me, simple gifts are fine. they don't ask and only if you look like carrying large bags to be questioned. about 2 years ago
