    Hi Cyndee

    For the moment, travelling to Thailand is very safe for tourists, as long as you stay out of the way of protestors. LIke anywhere, protesting can escalate quite quickly, so avoid the hot spots.

    Arrange your transport before you depart US, have a hotel car collect you form the airport and keep your passport in your handbag (or close by), incase you're stopped and asked for ID.

    Just spent the 2 weeks in Thailand, mainly Phuket Town, Coral Island and Karon/ Kata area. Felt very safe. People are warm and friendly. No problems! over 3 years ago
