    Save up a little cash and have cocktails at the Moon Bar @ the Banyon Tree in Bangkok - Absolutely amazing. even beter beg, borrow or steal some money and have dinner at Vertigo (the restauarant next door) - You'll thank me for it :-)

    Don't book any accomodation,tours, activities until you are at each destination. It saves money and gives you more freedom! over 9 years ago

    Get into small towns that are not in your guide books. Look for a pharmacy that will speak English and ask for the local hotel. It will be local, no frills but you'll end up paying a real backpacker price like 160baht a night for 2 of you.
    Get out on the street head to the market, especially early morning and drink, eat and don't be shy to say hello to all of the shocked faces. over 9 years ago
