Hi, search for my profile. We were in Bangkok in feb and Phuket. Depends on where you're staying in Phuket as to what you want to see. We hired a car, approx £20. Per day. Petrol cheap, drive on the same side of road although scary at times. If you have time, buy an international driving license before you go. Online is prob easier to buy one. If you tell me where you're staying and what youre interests are I can reply with more detailed info. Have a great time tho! about 5 years ago

There are a range of travel options ranging from airplane to buses, trains, taxis. An airplane ticket will cost you 3000 to 4000 Bahts per person. Buses cost 500 to 1000 Bahts per person depending on whether it is a First or a Second Class Bus. As far as Taxis go you since it is a 500 km ride it will probably cost more than 2000 to 3000 Bahts. The train costs 750 Bahts for a second class Sleeper Cabin. about 5 years ago

The train does not go to Phuket. Fly with Nok Air for around 2000Bt. Other Airlines are Air Asia, Bangkok Airways and Thai. When you get to Phuket, stay in Patong if you want nightlife, shopping and adventure. www.phukettravelandtours.com about 5 years ago
