USD or local currency?

about 5 years ago about Thailand

We will be in Thailand for 2 days and was wondering if we will need USD or need to have some local currency? What about credit cards?
Thanks

US dollars is a good currency to travel with, don't change up to much to Thai Bt until you get there, you will get a better exchange rate once you are in Thailand. about 5 years ago

you will be able to just withdraw Thai baht from an ATM once you are there too, best to figure out what your transaction withdrawl limit is (mine's $400) and do that each time though, as there is usually an international access fee and exchange fees. about 5 years ago
