Hi. My family and I are going to phuket in june. we are trying to plan our budget for food there. Any help?
Hi depending on where you stay in Phuket and what you want to eat can make a big difference in the costs. If you stay in Patong it can generally be more expensive for food and the like; seafood in Patong is quite expensive as the prices are pushed up by the tourist demand. Cheaper areas to eat in Phuket are Kata, Karon, Surin, Kamala for restaurants but they usually do not have a large supermarket close by to the hotels. The upside though of staying in Patong is they have a Big C supermarket in the Jungceylon shopping centre where you can buy cheap groceries, meat, fruit, vegetables, alcohol, cooked food etc and so you can save a few bucks. If you want to take a look at real cheap Phuket hotels i get my deals here http://www.ihotelthai.com over 7 years agoAnswered by Ted Travis via WorldNomads.com
