    Assalamu Alaikum Ahmed,

It is very easy to move between Phuket and Koi Samui as the roads are excellent and the distance is not much. It takes about 3 hours and it is an easy beautiful drive on the main roads and once I did it all on back roads and it took about 5 hours but was so amazingly beautiful and rural with no traffic whatsoever.

The safest way is to rent a vehicle privately in Phuket and drive it to Koi Samui. I rent a Toyota Hilux four door 4 wheel drive for 1000baht a day in Rawai Nai Harn area. Just make sure it has Class 1 insurance which means all drivers are covered for comprehensive. Most new vehicles have that.

The next safest way and very cheap is to take a large VIP Bus with around 24 seets.
Comfortable and bit more safer than the average government bus.

And the most dangerous way is to take a minibus or so called VIP Van which will probably have a yabbaaed up driver speeding all the way and passing on blind corners and hills.

    Sincerely,

    Ahmed,

There are direct flight from Phuket International Airport to Samui. Small plane but good service with Bangkok Airways, 4 flights per day and taking only 55 minutes.

Once in Samui you can rent a car to go around and save on taxi fares. If you are looking for more information on Phuket thank you for visiting www.phuket-holiday.com
