Buy a local 3G sim card. Easy. Wi fi is available everywhere, not always for free. Try to avoid Starbucks shops, too expensive. Many coffee shops offer internet for free and there are plenty of inexpensive internet cafés. Enjoy Bkk! almost 6 years ago

One provider, True, has more extensive wifi spots in Bangkok. Buy a prepaid 3G sim card and you can buy unlimited wifi service for the whole month at 100 bht or roughly 35 usd. Happy surfin'. almost 6 years ago

A local Wi-Fi Sim card can be purchased from any 7-11 shop. I use a One 2 Call package, Cheap but it can be really slow. http://www.ais.co.th/mobileinternet/en/internet-package/ Free WiFi is everywhere in major areas, Coffee shops, Hotels etc. If you need a hotel with free WiFi take a look here http://www.ihotelthai.com/ almost 6 years ago

A true 3G sim is pretty useless in an iPad, all you get is email and some Facebook, very frustrating, cafe wifi best, coffee world or dunkin donuts. over 5 years ago

Hi, did you find a fast reliable 3G provider for your iPad while you were in Bangkok?
Im are traveling to Thailand this month with my children for 4 weeks & need a 3G provider for our iPad, and also a mobile service provider for my iPhone, that's fast & reliable in most places not just Bangkok :) over 5 years ago

Hi, i'm very interested in the above question too. I'm also traveling to Thailand in December and will need reliable 3G connection. Is there any provider at all that has acceptable speed and good coverage throughout the country (not just Bangkok)? Thanks much in advance. over 5 years ago
