Is it safe to travel to bangkok now? My friends and I are planning to travel to Bangkok during march for 1 week. Do we need to take vaccination jab?

Depends how you define safe :) I just got back from Bangkok actually and it was safe for me! I did have fever and still coughing now but pharmacies are easy to find and you can find good medicine easily. Just drink lots of water because it is really hot there, and it can all of a sudden ( the weather is the same as kuala lumpur basically ). It is up to you to take vaccination jab or not because either way I think you'll be fine :) enjoy Bangkok the food is amazing there! And the shopping malls too! You will enjoy shopping there Bangkok is amazing :) over 6 years ago

My wife and I were in Bangkok 2 weeks ago and it is perfectly safe. The flooding is not a problem anymore, unless you are looking for areas that still have water damage. Just look after your belongings and don't take anything for granted. over 6 years ago

Here's our latest travel alert regarding the bomb blasts in Bangkok. http://journals.worldnomads.com/safetyhub/story/82947/Thailand/Bangkok-Explosions-Travel-Alert
Note that the explosions were at least 2 miles from any recognised tourist location, and the perpetrators are part of a group which seems to be deliberately targeting Israel diplomats.
I'd go to bangkok at he drop of a hat, and I'd take my children. It's generally quite safe. over 6 years ago
