Yes it's pretty safe. You always have to watch out for pick pocker in the
Metro and on crowded places. Like in any other major city. over 9 years agoAnswered by Pirma viaAsk a Nomad iPad app

Yazeid, by all reports Stockholm can be a bit confronting for non-Swedes, especially for people 'of middle-eastern appearance'. Many people of North African background report discrimination. Some who live there are quite bitter about their treatment and claim finding decent jobs is difficult because of bias. Of course not all Swedes hold racist views - indeed there are often anti-racism rallies in Stockholm. Sweden as a whole has relatively low rates of petty crime towards visitors and it is one of the safest countries in the world to visit.
As a casual visitor rather than a long-tern resident you may come across instances of discrimination, but not what I'd call "unsafe", just unpleasant, and it would be extremely rare for it to boil over into a physical confrontation.
With one exception: if you see a crowd of football fans, go the other way - quickly. They're notoriously unruly and violent towards others. over 9 years ago -
