I would like to consider teaching English or contribute to building infrastructure in Swaziland. Are there many organisations operating there?

A simply google search brings up pages and pages of opportunities for Swaziland but one of my friends used http://www.i-to-i.com/swaziland/ to find something in Tanzania.

Beware of large companies such as i-to-i or real gap as not a lot of money makes it through their profit margins, and none isleft for you to make any kind of difference. http://www.pricepie.co.uk/2011/05/pricepie-helping-to-expose-unethical-business-with-the-times/

MAKE SURE YOU RESEARCH WHETHER THE COMPANY IS ETHICAL... IF THEY WORK FOR PROFIT THEY OFTEN EXPLOIT LOCAL COMMUNITIES AND VOLUNTEERS. YOU NEED TO INJECT MONEY TO MAKE A CHANGE, NOT JUST TIME!

Take a look at www.ethicalvolunteering.org and check out this site for guidance

Type 'ethical volunteering swaziland' into google, or 'responsible volunteering swaziland'. Read as much advice on ethical/responsible volunteering as you can, and do not take a website at face value. Enquire whre your money goes, how much of it, and what for! over 6 years ago
