The whole GFC riots have been all over the news. What are the chances that protesters in Spain will turn violent? My plan was to live in Madrid but I know the chance of riots is even greater in the capitol. (The riots in Rome/London/Greece are freaking me out!)

about 50/50, but unless you're standing in the square with 20,000 angry Spaniards you'll be okay. If you see a protest or public gathering, go the other way, do not join in and you significantly reduce your chance of being hurt in anyway.
99.9% of Madrid will be protest free. Go. Enjoy. almost 7 years ago
