    Absolutely. I have been living there for many years without any problem. Just may be avoid the Raval part late at night or take care with the pick pockets about 9 years ago

    JW, you're not likely to be physically harmed in Barcelona, violent crime is rare.... but it is the pickpocket capital of Europe.
    This is because it is an extremely popular tourist destination so it's jam-packed with people who've allowed their brains to take a holiday, and the petty criminals thrive in that environemnt. Take care to secure your valuables, and feel safe to enjoy this wonderful and exciting city.

    I love barca! Didn't experience any problem when we visited last may.. Just be extra careful in Las Ramblas. about 9 years ago

    I was just in Barcelona, and witnessed 2 pickpockets in train stations and on a train. The people who were targeted had no idea. I felt safe, but my belongings did not! about 9 years ago
