    2 days in Madrid is plenty, save the third day for Toledo, it is fabulous! Madrid really does not have much to see . about 5 years ago

    I agree, two days is enough - but instead of Toledo, I would do Sevogia! Also a daytrip away, but much prettier and more impressive - has a gorgeous Alcazar and a unique Roman Acqueduct that's truly impressive.

    One note though - if you're really into art galleries and want to spend a while at the Prado and/or Reina Sofia, perhaps you should factor in an extra day for Madrid.
