Studying abroad in Spain

almost 9 years ago about Spain

I am going to study abroad in Spain for a semester. I am torn between Seville and Barca. I want a good nightlife and social life and would like to be reasonable distance to a beach. Does Seville or Barca fit the better? Even though I probably can't go wrong with either

Do you have a map of Spain? Seville is not at the beach ;)
Nightlife in Sevilla is almost 'nada' comparing to BCN.
BCN is cosmopolitan, Sevilla is Spain!

Barca is the more popular pick, and it has a beach (although not the best in Spain). Sevilla has its own assets, but there are other awesome student party places in Spain. Have you tried Madrid, Salamanca, and Granada? They are all awesome places to party (and not near the beach either). almost 9 years ago

If you're really dead set on the beach and a good nightlife then go to Barcelona, if you're looking to really get to know Spain then head south where you'll always be about 1.5-2 hours away from a beach. What else are you looking for? almost 9 years ago
