Mercado de San Miguel, Lateral (several locations) and Orio in Fuencarral street. For a more modern touch try Gastronome! in Velazquez. Try enjoying tapas with a Flamenco show in a traditional tablao, I would suggest Las Carboneras, close to the mercado de San Miguel. almost 6 years ago

Please, Dont go to San Miguel Market. This place is only for foreings. It is expensive and it is not good at all. If you want to taste "tapes" where the spanish do, you have to go to "cava baja" street or "latina" square. I am from Madrid and I have to say you that the farther you be from the "plaza Mayor", the best, cheaper and authentics places to eat and drink are you going to find.

And, of course, "flamenco" is not typical from Madrid. Here we have another things, baut if you want to hear flamenco, you have to travel to Malaga, Almería, Jaén ... almost 6 years ago
