I am planning to spend a week in Barcelona May/June 2012 and haven't found a travel buddy yet. Will it be safe for me to explore the city, eat out etc, by myself?

I once travelled to Barcelona alone and it was really safe you would rather just not to be in streets till late.. over 6 years ago

I travelled alone to Barcelona in May 2011 and everything was perfect! It's a great, wonderful city! Very safe! But of course, use your good common sense for walking around in any big city in the world: be aware of your surroundings and don't go flashing money or expensive gadgets around... Enjoy! over 6 years ago

Watch yourself at Las Ramblas and avoid using backpacks especially around La Boqueria market and will be fine. Barcelona is wondeful, don't worry about you safety. If you have the chance get to Figueres, about 2 hours away and visit Salvador Dali Museum. It so amazing you will forget you are travelling alone. over 6 years ago
