My husband and I would like to go to south korea in november. Does anyone know of any small tour groups (like overseas adventure travel) with english speaking guides that do south korea?
The DMZ tour sponsored by the USO office (Kooridor, I think) is open to 'most' foreigners and is an excellent tour (requires passport and 1 day reservation). In this case, the best tour guides are the actually US soldiers themselves. Also every city in Korea has tourism offices with a free or inexpensive city tour. Busan, Daegu, and Seoul all offer good cheap tours through their city tourism bureaus with hop-on hop-off buses- and they're even better than the private commercial tours. Some Korean city tourism office will now even loan you a free or inexpensive tablet with gps/wifi programmed as a walking tour guide. Its pretty cool what tours you can find in Korea for cheap, just show up and ask at the local tourist office or info kiosk on the street. about 7 years agoAnswered by andy via WorldNomads.com
