I am doing a project on Korea and i need to know how much money would transportation cost
Hi troy i can tell u about the cost
first, bus fee - it's depends on the distance normally it's 1,000 won(korean currency)
Second, subway -it's also depend on the distance. Normal way is 900 won.
Third, taxi - basic fare is 2,500 won.
I suggest u buy "t-money card" at airport. U can use it on any case, by bus, subway, and even taxi(only one written t-money card available)
I hope this answer is useful for u. almost 10 years ago
City subways and buses (Seoul/Incheon/Daegu/Busan/Daejon/Suwon) are roughly $1 USD/1100 Won, but 900 won with pre-paid transit cards that usually have a modest $3 deposit. Most Korean cities have these transit card with a fare discount that you can usually get at a street kiosk or convenience store. Some Korean cities like Daegu also have plastic RFID subway tokens. Taxis start about $2.50 but are cheap and no tips (let 'em keep the change). Taxi drivers are the most honest you will ever meet. As for the long distance, slow trains are cheap, fast trains more so (Busan-Seoul bullet train is about $40). The airport train from Incheon to Seoul is $14. Car rentals are a little more expensive than the USA and fuel is double the price, but it's a great option if you are visiting the countryside. Driving in Seoul is tough and rush hour is impossible, but off-hours it's no more difficult than driving in LA or Paris. Road rules, signs, and infrastructure are the same as the USA, a little different then Europe. The best part is that Korean road signs are always bilingual with English! about 8 years agoAnswered by andy via WorldNomads.com

Hi, here is more information for using transportation in Korea. T-money card is for all transportation card in Korea so one of first thing you have to do during your Korea visit, you need to buy that card. Also there is a airport railroad between Incheon International Airport and Seoul station and you can use two kinds of train 'express train' and 'All-stop train'. Express train takes 43 mins and All-stop train takes over a bit 1 hour. With express train, you can go to the central Seoul area(Seoul station) directly and you can have a comfortable seat too. If you want to buy both express train and T-money card, you can buy both with reasonable price only 8,900won(normally, express train is only 8,000won and T-money card is 4,000won). If you are interested in this package, you can check this out 'Travel center' at B1 in ICN. Thanks. over 4 years agoAnswered by AREX via WorldNomads.com
