I am learning Korean, but I don't know what numbers to learn! Please help! Kamsahamnida!

    1- hana(il), 2-dul(e), 3-set(sam), 4-net(sa) korean has tow way spoken. 1st is native, 2nd Arabic. If u need to learning more numbers. U must keep this. almost 8 years ago

    You need both sets. Some things are counted in one, some in the other. Confusingly, when counting time, hours are counted in native Korean, and minutes are counted in Sino-Korean! almost 8 years ago

    Both! I learnt Korean and thought it strange that we weren't taught numbers strait away. Both are important because they are used for different counting systems. Time, as stated by Doug V above, needs both because hours and minutes are different. The numbers used in money is different from counting. Sorry but both are essential! almost 8 years ago

    Learning both number systems is just half the challenge. Knowing when and how to use them is also very tricky. In formal situations Koreans use the Sino-Korean number system but then there's also the combination of using the Native-Korean and Sino-Korean number systems in certain situations.
