Hit up gyeongbukgun (it's a nice palace) there are MANY palaces in and around Seoul. Namsan tower is nice around sunset, take the cable car up and then walk around you can grab a city bus back down. Itaewon is the main party area for expats. I prefer Hongdae as its more artsy and located near two universities. Gangnam is good for shopping if you want name brands. Insadong is good if you're looking for artwork.
As for food, try some street food. Find either a galbi or samguypsal place and cook your own dinner at your table like the locals. If you're looking for cheap and easy grab a quick meal in a kim bap shop (orange restaurant) most menus are in hangul so you'll want to check a guide book for the descriptions of the menus.
