I'll visit South Korea for the 1st time on April 2012. So what the best place and activities to do? I'll be there about two weeks. Is it easy for me to looking for the food as I'm a Muslim. I want to try Korean Food but don't know if there's a halal restaurant for Muslim.
The Jinhae Cherry Blossom Festival is an absolute *must* in April. It's a bit of a hike to get there, but it's beautiful.
The whole country is alive with color as cherry blossoms bloom. Any of the national parks would be ideal.
I'm also partial to Busan in the South East. It won't quite be beach weather, but there's a stunning seaside temple there and the night life is quite good as well.
I'm not sure about Halal food in Korea, but if it's going to be anywhere - it'll be in Seoul. about 7 years ago
Halal food hasn't caught on in south korea yet. They don't really have a population of Muslim/jewish. They do have Buddhist monk restaurants in Seoul. They are grown in the wild or organically. They tend to be vegetarian restaurants. check out a friend's food blog.. www.seouleats.com and ask Dan for any insight on halal restaurants in Seoul. He's also a food writer and critic in seoul and very well connected in their food scene/industry.
April: Cherry blossoms is a must. There are various festivals throughout korea celebrating the cherry blossoms.
weather permitting: go to Soraksan mountain, most beautiful in Korea. it's located Northeast of Seoul a few hours away. If u need further help with travel arrangement ..let me know. I can give specific instruction how to get there from Seoul
