There is not a lot of information out there regarding getting from country to country in South America. I am doing a trip starting in Columbia, down through Ecuador, Peru, Argentina, and ending in Chile. Although I anticipate taking a flight once or twice during this time, I would rather save money and take bus/train if it is available. What is the safest way to get from country to country? What are somethings I should look out for/ avoid? Thank you!

The safest way, as you know, is by plane, but It's usually easy to travel by bus, and sometimes (Peru and Chile), by train. over 4 years ago
