There are a lot of online companies which offer prepaid SIM cards for South Africa. Should I buy from them or these cards are too expensive comparing with those sold in South Africa?

    You may buy either vodacom , mtn , cell c, or 8Ta, my personal view is that you either buy mtn or vodacom as they are the bigger co s that have been around for a while so their coverage is better , you would need to buy a starter pack which is very cheap or free about R5 and than need to load airtime which would be about R2-50 a minute , it would be cheaper to buy the pre paid sim in S.A as the airtime voucher is the set price . about 8 years ago

    As far as I know there are three networks in HK that provide prepaid SIM data plans, I have got most of the information from the various network's websites, however I have also got additional information from speaking to people, which I have added in here.

    Two networks are on 3G/HSDPA and the other is on 2G EDGE.
