Recently I stayed at a really nice B&B in Cape Town called Welgelegen Guest House. It is located in a suburb called Gardens, which is a short walk to the city centre and Long Street; there are also lots of great little shops and cafes in the Gardens area (on Kloof Street). It is a short taxi ride to the base of the cable car to the top of Table Mountain.
It was very lovely and relaxed (we felt very safe!), with good service and a tasty breakfast served each day. The staff were very helpful with info regarding good restaurants and places to go. It would be perfect for a 1-2 night stay. over 10 years agoAnswered by Sonia Stavreff via Travellr.com
I stayed earlier in the year at the Harbour bridge hotel and suites next to the convention centre on the canal, I was a lone female traveller and stayed here for 2 weeks, with not one bit of problem,
Its brand new and rooms are lovely
