hi Alicia, some of the must see attractions/areas in Joburg are:

    - Constitution Hill

    - Apartheid Museum

    - Visit Soweto and see the city's largest native township, where you can mingle with the locals and also visit historical attractions, such as the Hector Pieterson Memorial and Nelson Mandela's residence

    - Ellis Park - if you're a rugby fan, a game there is a must

    - Lion Park, where you can play with cubs - http://www.lion-park.com/contact/

    - Sandton for shopping/upscale restaurants almost 7 years ago

There is also Melville, for a party street, other than that I would say go to Kurger national park or cape you will have a better time there. Avoid the taxi cabs at all cost. Rent a car if you can drive on the other side of the road over 6 years ago
