    Eating in Cape Town is not very expensive - at least compared to Canada, US, Europe etc.
    But depending on where you are travelling from, a budget of $500 might be tight. You'll want to price out your fight first (and don't forget your travel insurance!) and then see how much money is left in your budget. almost 5 years ago

    It depends on how long you are planning to stay and what you want to do when you get there. Hostel dorms cost around R140 a night, food is pretty cheap whether you eat in (allow around R100 per day) or more if eating out. Comparatively tours are reasonably priced but perhaps you need to work out what you want to do and then decide whether your budget will allow you to do the things you are going there to do and see. almost 5 years ago
