I suggest somewhere on the False Bay side - Kalk Bay to Simons Town. Check out classifieds on Gum Tree about 6 years ago

You can check out the website www.coastingafrica.com, which is a definitive guide for good backpackers and B&B's in South Africa. about 6 years ago

Check out backpackers, they are hostels around South Africa. I have stayed in 3 of them (not the one is CT) but they have all been lovely. I think the one in CT is right near the center of the city almost 6 years ago

I totally agree with mboule1 - the Cape Town Backpackers is great. It is also really close to all the Cape Town main attractions, being right in Cape Town's CBD.

    Check out the backpackers here:http://www.capetownbackpackers.com/

I enjoyed staying at CT Backpackers, but try to get a single room and lock your door! There are some vagrants hanging around the common areas. almost 6 years ago

There are some great backpackers in central Cape Town......however if you want to stay a little way out of the centre then I recommend Saltycrax backpackers in Table View - its chilled, right next to the beach, if you want to get into kite boarding its awesome and there is a great public bus service into the city for R10. almost 6 years ago
