We are planning a holiday in Slovenia from 24th Dec to 7th Jan. We are beginner skiers who would like some winter fun. I am worried that there will just be lots of rain and slush and no snow. Does anyone know what is reasonable to expect? We are thinking of basing ourselves just outside bled. Is this a good choice?

Hey hey, usually winters are cold and snowy. But the last 3 or so years unfortunately there was not a lot of snow and just in the time around Christmas and New Year there was a lot of rain (and most of December snow was gone....).
Gorenjska region (where Bled is) is usally a good choice. about 8 years ago
