The bar at the near the top of the Swissotel at 2 Stamford Road is amazing purely because of it's location, on the 71st floor from memory (very very high up) - have a cocktail, look at other countries and watch the sunset, more a sensory experience than a foodie experience, but well worth it whilst going through the city. about 7 years ago

Hi Ian, Singapore is a food paradise because you can find all types of good food (both international and local) at reasonable budget price practically at most, if not all, shopping centres because most food courts are located at the basement of the shopping centres itself and the foods are mostly local dishes combined with some international cuisines (Japanese, Korean etc.) If you are in for good seafoods like chilli crabs, (S'pore's National Dish), black pepper crabs, butter crabs, large prawns etc, then you should go to the Long Beach restaurant at East Coast Park. Last but not least, Singapore is also famous for its chicken rice and though you can get it almost anywhere in Singapore, one of the best chicken rice served is at the Chatter Box Restaurant at the Mandarin Hotel at Orchard Road, Singapore's shopping belt which is a few kilometers long with shopping centres on both sides of the street. Enjoy yourself here in sunny Singapore. over 6 years ago
