If you like electronics it is definitely worth a visit to Sim Lim tower, its a short walk from the LIttle India subway station.
Little India itself was interesting & China Town is also nice.
These are mostly shopping options. (I didn't really check out the city centre at all)

Clarke Quay is supposed to be good, particularly for restaurants and night life, but I didn't quite get there.

Sentosa Island is pretty nice for looking around. Its scenic and has also sorts of different things to offer.

The Singapore Zoo was also pretty amazing, and then also the night safari (night zoo right next to singapore zoo). I think it was one of the nicest zoo's I have ever seen.
If you do go there, make sure you look out for the 'mouse deer' its an amazing little creature! over 10 years ago

I loved the Asian Civillisations Museum and also the Singapore Art Museum.

Clarke Quay is nice at night - lots of bars and some restaurants, although I preferred eating locally in the hawker centres - very cheap and some wonderful food.

Singapore is really easy to get round - the taxis are great and the bus and metro system are brilliant. You could do the usual hop-on hop-off bus to get an overview. I know if you are coming into the airport and have a lay over, you can do it for free.

I stayed in the Pan Pacific which was well located and reasonably priced. over 10 years ago
