Hi, I am trying to book a Christmas holiday in Europe including German, Austria and Finland ex DRW. However, by virtue of the only airlines flying being Jetstar and Silkair, our choices are limited. Furthermore, Jetstar aren't loading their codeshare with QF to allow an integrated ticket at this time.
Noting that Jetstar lands at 9.20pm, and Finnair departs at 11.50pm, from insurance perspective would my family and I be covered should we miss our connection due to Jetstar being delayed and not enough time to clear customs, collect bags and recheck again in Singapore? My travel agent says wait, but I am getting nervous about losing a good airfare.

Some insurance policies will have a benefit for missed flight connection - you will need to read the policy wordings to check if they cover this and what the terms and conditions are around it.

In saying that, be aware that a lot of companies only provide cover for missed flight connection when you have already allowed a minimum of 3 hours between flights. As you will not be doing that, the benefit may be void. Obviously all companies are different so make sure you read the fine print. over 7 years ago
