If you like nature/hiking, visit one of the many reservoirs ex. MacRitchie, where you can on one of the beautiful trails, the Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve or check out the Botanical Gardens or the National Orchid Garden. East coast is a nice area for walking/biking/roller skating along the beach or you could do a beach day at Sentosa.

If you like Art/Museums, check out the Asian Civilizations Museum (1 hour highlight tour recommended!), the Peranakan Museum is also very interesting and while at it check out the beautiful Peranakan Place (conservation area of Emerald hill rd, very close to Orchard rd) and of course the new ArtsScience Museum (next to Marina Bay Sands) - it's a beautiful building and they always have nice exhibitions, like Dali or Warhol.

If you like to experience the cultural diversity of Singapore, check out areas like:
    - Little India (Eat some very authentic indian food and go to Mustafa Shopping Centre, 24 hour very cheap shopping mall and must-see: Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple)
    - China town (to see the ethnic neighbourhood featuring distinctly Chinese cultural elements)
    - Arab Street (to see the Arabian way of life, check out the Sultan Mosque and Kampong Glam Palace)

If you like going out, One Fullerton is a nice place to start with dinner and drinks (view of Marina Bay Sands and the laser show), check out Boat Quay and Clarke Quay for lots different types of bars/clubs, one of my personal favorite places is the One Altitude (world's highest al fresco bar) at One Raffles Place, which has a beautiful view of the city but remember to check out the dress code before you go. There are also clubs like Zouk, Zirca, The butter Factory and the new very fancy club called Avalon. Another must, is to go to Raffles hotel long bar and have a Singapore Sling (this is where the Singapore Sling was invented).

Definitely lots of things to do and see:-) Enjoy your trip! almost 6 years ago
