Are people paying money to watch you? If not, then I suggest you to either read more or just get out of the house more.

- A small island compare to a big country??? You expect mountains, waterfall, jungles, caves.... which country will want to stay backward. Sally Chin almost 9 years ago

Depends what you're looking for. If you want nature like mountains and lakes, then not in Singapore. If you want dining, shopping, performances and city life, then come to Singapore. almost 9 years ago

That's right. Singapore is alright for a while. But don't outstay the welcome, the boredom starts to get down to you pretty soon.I can tell you.The longer you stay, the more you can realize about the place. The typically miserable lives of the locals are just hidden beneath its glamor.Worth a short stint, though. almost 9 years ago

Boredom will grow on you depending on who you are with, what kind of activities that you and them are doing, and how creative you're to find new things to do.
I agree that you can't really find a stunning natural environment here (besides some tropical forest or beaches with blurry waters). But, if you have more money, you can always travel to nearby countries, and go back to Singapore to make money again ;-). almost 9 years agoAnswered by Jesse Armand viaAsk a Nomad iPad app

Not boring at all. You can enjoy the big city, or even disappear into the jungle in places like Kranji, Pulau Ubin or MacRitchie Reservoir treetop walk http://www.nparks.gov.sg/cms/index.php?option=com_visitorsguide&task=attractions&id=64&Itemid=73 almost 9 years ago

if singapore is the most boring country on earth you have got to be kidding me.
unless you want to see the vast ocean, take a cruise. if you want mountains, waterfalls, forests, volcanos, glaciers and real natural wonders, i'm sure you can find that most of the earth is filled with that. so no matter where in the world you are i don't think you need to travel to singapore to see that. but if you do want to travel, singapore is a great place to go and definitely not boring at all.
singapore has so many things to see! for such a small nation with no dependency on any natural reserves, we have excelled a great deal over a short period of time. singapore is filled with so many malls and shops across the island for shopping and for food. A vibrant nation where food is what brings us together. there are so many types of food, of different cuisine and setting. there are so many enclaves all around singapore that you'll realise it can never get boring.
in other words, whether you are a single traveller, or a lonely traveller, a couple or a family with kids, there's something you can do in singapore that suits your needs. we are a country of multi-racial and multi-religious society with a rich history to share and to learn. and on top of that, we are clean, we are friendly and we are safe.
i'm sure when visiting singapore you will learn that it is a country unique to the rest of the world and 'boring' is hardly a word used to describe it. about 8 years agoAnswered by L viaTravellr.com

Personally I think Singapore is one of the best, safest and cleanest city's in the world and has a lot of interesting and fun places to see. Cannot wait to get back again! Have been there several times by now (and even a couple of days on my honeymoon on the way to the Maldives) about 8 years ago

Singapore is a beautiful country. a 3-4 days of strolling, shopping, and enjoyment should be enough. Going beyond that can be overwhelming already. almost 7 years ago

Yes, Singapore is definitely boring. I've been here for 3 months, doing a 4 years PhD. Sometimes I really have the impression this is a 40km squared shopping mall, or airport. Whichever you find more annoying.
Just look at some of the people's answers, suggesting Sentosa and shopping malls as a valid option for entertainment. Lame. And sad. Local rappers sing about how cool being in the army is. That's as much transgression you can get in S'pore.

I lived and worked as an expat in Singapore for close to 8 years. Although I had a high paying job I ultimately left because I found it such a sterile and boring place. Singaporeans themselves are deadly boring who aspire to shallows pursuits based around monetary objects.
The city has zero culture as well. Good for a short trip but soul destroying to live there over 4 years agoAnswered by Scott viaWorldNomads.com
