I read a wonderful article in The Week about Romania and have thought it would be a great place to visit. However, i do not want to have to worry about finding things to eat or hurt anyone's feelings who might offer me a meal. Am I being overly-cautious?

I travelled through Romania in the middle of last year. I don't eat red meat or chicken but I do eat fish. I was travelling with another person who doesn't eat meat or fish. We found pasta, salads or pizza options. All were very good. We were in medium to large size towns. I asked our guide when we went to the painted monasteries if it was difficult to find vegetarian options in the smaller towns and she said it was better to stick to larger towns. over 9 years ago
